age 92, of Bessemer, passed away on January 11, 2008. Mrs. Jones was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her friends and neighbors, spending many wonderful evenings quilting and other arts and crafts. She also enjoyed working with her husband working in the garden and spending quality time at the river. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra P. Jones and son-in-law, James E. Hays: also, her father and mother John M. and Julia Edge Savage of Pell City, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her daughter Katie J. Hays of Bessemer, son Donald P. Jones (wife Jo Anne) of Warrior; grandsons Donald Phares Jones of Birmingham and J. David Hays (wife Janet) of Virginia, grand daughter Mary Elizabeth McGrain of St. Clair County; great grand-daughters Christy DeArmon of Birmingham and Kim Strange (husband Brad) of Dora and five great great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Wilbert A. Savage (wife Mary) of Riveridge, Louisiana, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a very special friend of the family W.H. Nixon. Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Valhalla cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Valhalla funeral home. Rev.
