Kay Sandra Parkhurst Wilson passed into the loving arms of her heavenly father on December 15, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Verla Burroughs, father, Carl Watson, husbands; John Parkhurst, Robert Wilson, daughter, Donna George, loving uncle and aunt, John and Nola Palmer.

Survivors include her son, Raymond Parkhurst (Mary Catherine) of Leeds, AL, step son, Robert Wilson of New Orleans, LA, grandchildren; Christopher George (Hannah), Joseph George, Sandra Hubbard, Marie Roach (Stephen), 8 great grandchildren, sisters; Martha Burroughs of Mt. Olive, Shirley Gross (Mack) of Parrish and Betty Talton (Dale) of Cullman.

She was retired from The Birmingham News after 38 years in the circulation department

and was a long time resident of Hueytown. After retirement she served as Director of the Hueytown Senior Center for many years and was a current resident of Fairhaven Nursing Home.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to her special friend, Thomas Abernathy and the nurses and staff of Fairhaven for their love and care.

Graveside services will be Thursday, December 17, 2020, 2:00 PM at Valhalla Cemetery with Bro. Don Davidson officiating and Roger Patterson performing special music.
