Kelly Jo (Josephine Ezell) Jones
Born in Bessemer, Alabama on August 6, 1930, Kelly Jo received her reward November 2, 2017 in Hoover, Alabama. She lived in and around Bessemer her whole life of 87 years. She is survived by her loving children: Linda Millsap of Panama City, Florida; Joe Jones of Hoover, Alabama and Teresa Briendenbach of Orlando, Florida along with many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great, and great great grandmother. She recently stated she missed many of her family and friends, but she is with them now.
> Kelly Jo served at Second Baptist Church in Bessemer, Alabama, teaching children Bible stories and about God's love for 47 years, working in the WMU, arranging teas, showers weddings, and senior adult trips, visiting hospitals & care facilities, and hand crafting many angels to give others. During her last few years, Canaan Baptist Church was her home church. It was now time for people to minister to her, and they did very well!
Her working life was spent at R L Zeiglers Meat Packing Plant in Bessemer, Alabama from the late 1950s until their closing.
She loved relationships with family and friends. She entertained and cooked for them as often as she could.
She will be missed but remembered often by many. God is love! Let us share HIS LOVE!
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 2pm at Vahalla Funeral Home in Midfield, Alabama. Mike Hill is the pastor officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the 2pm funeral hour.
