Kenneth Wayne Ward, age 76 of Midfield died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Ward was native and life long resident of Jefferson County, member of the American Legion Post 137 of Fairfield, He was preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings.

Mr. Ward is survived by two sons, Kenneth Michael Ward ( Dana Jo ) , Mitchell Wayne Ward ( Jeannie ); a daughter, Melissa Jo Bryant ( David ); 7 grandchildren; Kayla Michelle Ward, Kenneth Daniel Ward, Brandon Alexander Ward, Erica Ward, Matthew Ward, Michael Thigpen, John Thigpen; 7 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; good friend and caregiver, Joe Burgess.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the American Legion Post 137 at 2:00 P.M. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the celebration at American Legion Post 137.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Disabled Vets.
