Kenneth O''Neal Ware
October 6, 1942 - October 7, 2014

Kenneth O''Neal Ware, age 72, of McCalla died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Ware and brother, Ronnie Ware.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Elizabeth Jobe Ware; a son, Kevin O''Neal Ware (Shellie); a daughter, Pamela Kim Smallwood; a step son, Don R. Harris (Heather); granddaughter, Meredith Smallwood; his mother, Virgie Ware two sisters, Sue Moss and Carol Ware.

Mr. Ware was a native and lifelong resident of Jefferson County where he retired as an engineer for the City of Birmingham with thirty-eight years of service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bessemer and was a member of Easy Riders Equestrian where he was a volunteer for special needs children. Mr. Ware was an avid hunter and loved playing basketball.

Services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 5-7 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Presbyterian Church in Bessemer, 1723 3rd Avenue North, Bessemer, AL 35020
