Obituary
Kirby Cartwright Blackwell, age 102 of Fairfield died Monday, October 29, 2018 at Brookwood Princeton Hospital.
Mr. Blackwell was born in Madison County on November 15, 1915 where he graduated from Riverton High School in 1936 near Huntsville. He retired from US Steel with forty years of service.
He is survived by granddaughter; Jeannine (Charles) Earley of Woodstock; grandson; Butch Blackwell, Jr. of Oak Grove; great grandchildren; Tim, Tyler, and Tangie Earley of Woodstock; Tanner and Taylor Blackwell of Oak Grove; a step son; Dwight D. Waldrop; and great great grandchildren; Landon Earley and Tinsleigh Earley.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Cemetery with Dwight D. Waldrop officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice at Princeton.
