Miss Latanya Latrice "Trice" Craig, affectionately known as Trice, was born on October 30, 1960, to Jim Craig and Phyllis Harris in Birmingham, Alabama.
Trice embraced her faith, confessing her life to Christ and joining Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She pursued education at Rio Salado Community College in Tempe, Arizona, and built a diverse career as a manager at Chevron, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), caregiver, customer service representative at Walmart, and a self-taught chef.
Trice's culinary creations were a source of joy and comfort for her family and friends. Her meals were not just food but a celebration of love and togetherness, often bringing people together and creating cherished memories around the dinner table.
Trice transitioned peacefully on September 4, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother.
Her memory lives on in the hearts of her children: Chonta Craig, Jason Antonio Craig, and Leon Kincheon III; her father, Jim (Louise) Craig; her grandchildren: Marqwuan Morris, Qwuantiana Craig, Daijha Craig, Jaeqwuan Williams, and Jason Antonio Craig Jr.; her great-grandchildren: Zoraya Morris, Chloe Harris, and Amariah Walker; her siblings: Tammy Harris, Nicole Craig, and Jim (Lynne) Craig; her best friend and sister for life, Janice Fortune; her longtime friend, Howard Boglin; and a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Trice will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy of warmth, generosity, and the joy of her cooking will forever remain in our hearts.
