LaVerne Cook "Sis" Robertson, age 91, of Vestavia died Monday, May 9, 2016 at Brookwood Baptist Princeton Hospital.

Ms. Robertson was a native of Jefferson County where she lived most of her life. She briefly resided in Jacksonville, Florida from 1963-1965 and was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her spouse of 45 years, Harold Clark Robertson; father, Firmer Lee Cook; mother, Jessie Vera Anthony Cook; a brother, Carroll Eugene Cook and a sister Joe Ann Cook Wright.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Robertson Cauthen (Butch) and Linda Robertson Erney (Bruce); five grandchildren, Allison Wade (Thomas), Kimberley Yeager (Scott), Linwood Erney (Andrea), John Cauthen (Michele), and Patrick Cauthen; twelve great grandchildren; three sisters, Nell Mathis, Faye Strayer, and Sue Baldwyn (Mack). and two brothers, Murry Cook and Owen Cook (Mary Ann).

Services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Robert Hatfield officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Valhalla Cemetery.
