Mr. Lawrence Ray Griffin, age 89 of Vestavia, Alabama, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2024. He was born on October 29, 1934 to Ernest and Eliza Lee Griffin. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Griffin Anderson (Richard); sisters Margie Elmore and Jimmie Thomas (Bobby); grandchildren; Richard H. Anderson, III and Griffin Anderson Matthews (Jason), and great-grandchildren Charlotte Rose and Olivia Reid Anderson and Jordan Riley Matthews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Eliza Lee Griffin, sisters; Sara Hann and Jackie Myers and loving wife of 35 years, Faith Bagley Griffin. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Was a Master Mason and member of Shriners, International. He was a District Service Manager for AM International, Inc. and after retirement had his own printing broker business. He was an avid animal lover and loved to fish. Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home, 5317 Bessemer Super Highway Midfield, Alabama 35228 on Wednesday, January the 10th, 2024. Visitation is from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with the service being held at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow at Shanghi Cemetery, 6915 Sharon Boulevard, Quinton, Alabama
