age 83, of Midfield passed away on May 23, 2006. He was a member and usher at Wilkes Baptist Church. Mr. Vines was an Air Force veteran and served from 1944- 1946 as an aircraft engine mechanic on B-24 and B-29's. He worked at A&P and U.S. Steel. He was the owner operator of Wilkes Shell station from 1952-1985. He was preceded in death by his wife Lottie Vines and son Larry Vines. Mr. Vines is survived by his daughter Karen (Gerald) Freeman; four grandchildren Chris (Renea) Freeman, Tracie (David) Lane, Scott (Kim) Freeman and Joy Freeman; three great-grandchildren Braden Freeman, Alicia Hutchison and Madison Lane. The family will receive friends from Noon till 2:00 pm on May 26, 2006. The Chapel service will be at 2:00 pm May 26 at Valhalla Funeral Home with burial at Valhalla Cemetery.
