Lillie Lou (Riddle) Whitlock McRee died on October 31, 2013, she was 104 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Edmund Lamar (Doc) McRee, and her parents Francis Marion and Martha Ann Willis Whitlock.

She lived in Jefferson County, Alabama all of her life.

She is survived by her only (adopted) child, Barbara McRee Lawton and husband Sherman Lawson, four grandchildren, Robert Lawson, Cynthia Lawson Woods and husband Tony; Stephen Mark Lawson; Brian and wife Misti Woods; 8 great grandchildren: Jason married to Brittany Walker Woods, David married to Stephanie Ridgeway Woods, Natalie Woods, Brandon married to Natalie Vaught Lawson, Blake Lawson, Brooke Lawson, Sean Lawson, Victoria Lawson, and one great grandchild.

She retired from West End Baptist Hospital, prior to that she worked for Southern Bell, Moore-Handley, Sears and the Chamber of Commerce. She was in the PBX Club, Garden Club, and Eastern Star.

She was a member of Faith Worship Center in Sumiton, AL; prior to that she was a member of Central park Baptist Church, Bible Tabernacle, and Apostolic Temple-Christian Life Center.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 12 noon at Valhalla Chapel. Burial will follow in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Valhalla Funeral Home.
