Logan D. Jolley

Logan D. Jolley of Hoover passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Jolley was a native and life long resident of Jefferson County where he was retired from Birmingham Southern Railroad with thirty years of service. He was a Draftsman for Nashville Bridge Company where he designed bridges. Mr. Jolley was a Scout leader and served in the United States Army in the Signal Corp. He attended church at Berney Points Baptist Church and Shades Mountain Baptist for many years. He graduated from McAdory High School and lived in that area while growing up. Mr. Jolley was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Francis Jolley of Bluff Ridge (Bessemer); three brothers, Fred Jolley, Jr., Melvin Jolley and Herman Jolley.
Mr. Jolley is survived by his wife, Maxine and two sons, Randy Moore (Angie) of Hoover and Jason Moore (Christina) of Eagle, Colorado; six grandchildren, Brock, Keegan, Griffin and Reese Moore, Chloe and Graci Moore; two sisters-in law, Bettye and Dot Jolley; many relatives and life long friends and one special niece, Sharon Smith who he helped to raise.
Services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at Valhalla Chapel with Rev. Rick Cato and Henry Hobson officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, November 16, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
