Vaughan, Lora G. "Maw" , age 93, of Midfield, AL, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009. She accepted Christ into her heart at an early age and was baptized at Pike Avenue Baptist Church in Ensley. Mrs. Vaughan was a Sunday School Teacher for many years at Wilkes Baptist Church in Midfield. She later became a member of Midfield First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years,Van H. Vaughan; her parents Pearl and Harry Spradling and her grandson Tyler Vaughan. She is survived by her two sons Billy Vaughan (Patti), Terry Vaughan (Donna), three grandchildren, Joni Vaughan, Billy Vaughan, Jr., (Regina) and Jill Walden (Jerry); great grandchildren, Austin Vaughan, Jailyn Walden, Jaina Walden, Jordan Walden and Caleb McNeill. A very heart felt thanks to Hospice Compassus Staff, Angel Emanuel, Jennifer Dunagan, Jill Whitaker, Henry Hobson, Netty Robbins and Vernon Surlow. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm December 22, 2009 at Valhalla Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm in the chapel. Rev. Randy Norris officiating.
