Louis Floyd Patrick, Jr., age 93, of Abbeville, Alabama, died Friday, September 2, 2016 in Abbeville, Alabama.

Mr. Patrick was a resident of Midfield most of his life where he retired from U. S. Steel after many years of service. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church of Hueytown and was a World War II veteran with the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Ruth Patrick; his parents, Louis F. Patrick, Sr. and Hattie Vaughn Patrick. 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

He is survived by one son, Jimmy Patrick (Demetra); a daughter, Janice Buchanan (Jim); 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and one brother, Marshall Eugene Patrick (Doris).

Services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Chapel with Rev. Tim New officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
