Obituary

Mabel Glover Kelley went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.  She was born in Moundville, AL to William Milton Glover and Nancy Jane Hester Glover on October 28, 1925. She graduated from Moundville High School in 1945 and later worked for Western Union Telegraph Company in Anniston, AL where she met her husband, Nathan Columbus Kelley who she married on April 2, 1946 until his death in 1998.  They had two children, Michael Lynn Kelley and Sharon Ellen Kelley Platt, (son-in-law) Paul Douglas "Doug" Platt and grandchildren Marcus "Marc" Austin Kelley (wife, Nickie), Lauren Elizabeth Platt,  great grandchildren Sara Kelley and William "Will" Kelley and numerous nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.

Mabel "Mabe" is preceded in death by her parents William Milton and Nancy Jane Glover, siblings:  Thomas Warren Glover,  William "Will" Hudson Glover, Charles Samuel Glover, William Wallace Glover, Wilfred Peter "Pete" Glover, James Mack Glover, Glover, James Glover, Wallace Glover, Pete Glover, Willard Daniel "Dan" Glover, Charles Glover, sisters; Fannie Estelle Glover,  Evelyn Margaret Glover Sanderson and survived by her sisters,  Lou Ellen Glover Forbus, Sara Nell Glover Nalley as well as many nieces and nephews.

"Mabel lived the life she wanted.  She lived in her home and drove until she was 89 years of age.  She had a unique sense of humor that was contagious.  She will be missed as a Mother, sister, aunt and friend ."

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Valhalla Chapel.
