Mrs. Major Vonceil Crowder was Promoted to Glory on December 31,
2019, in League City, Texas surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 1, 1924 in Billingsley, AL, to Richard and Minnie Latham.
She was preceded in death by her husband Major Sam Crowder,
who was Promoted to Glory in April, of 2007 and her brother Richard (Buddy) Latham.
Vonceil is survived by her daughter, MaryAnn (of League City, TX) and her son Sam and his wife Pat
(of Austin, TX), her sister Glennie Smith (of VA) along with 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and extended families.
Vonceil was commissioned as an officer in the Salvation Army in May of 1952, and served along with her husband Sam in many appointments giving over 63 years of service to the Army and God's work. Vonceil continued to witness, teach, listen, and be a comforting and giving spirit to all she came in contact with during her many trips around the sun.
