TYLER, MARGARET JANE "GRANDMA", age 76, of Bessemer, passed away on May 21, 2009. Grandma's life is defined by her selfless care and support of the people she loved. She was a member of Cahaba Valley Baptist Church. Mrs. Tyler is preceded in death by her mother Daphne Roland Mason , her dad, William Monroe Mason, four brothers, James, Ronald, Phillip and Charlie Mason, one son, George Curtis Burnett Jr., and two grandchildren, Brian Pierce and Christy Burnett. Mrs. Tyler is survived by two brothers, William and Chris Mason, both of Detroit MI, six children, Sharon (John) Van Compernolle of Palestine TX, Larry (Nina) Burnett of Adamsville AL, Elizabeth (Carson Hilton) Waid of Tuscaloosa AL, Roger (Lorraine) Burnett of Bessemer AL, Robert Burnett Sr. of Hueytown AL and James Murray II of Bessemer AL; 13 grandchildren, Buddy Mosley, Joey Mosley, Jeff Mosley, Michael Pierce, Bridgette Pierce, Larry Bagby, Amanda Burnett, Jonathan Burnett, Angela Perry, Robert Burnett Jr., Melissa Burnett, Desarae Kidd and James Murray III; 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, May 22, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at the Valhalla Funeral Home with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Bro. Tony Savage officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m.
