Scarbrough, Margaret B., age 94, passed away on May 30, 2009. She was born in Republic Alabama on April 24, 1915 . She was a long time employee of Avondale Mills and following her retirement, worked for Oak Knoll nursing home for 20 years. She is preceded in death by her parents Pete and Denise Bria, her husband James S. Scarbrough, two sisters, Ailene Shaeffer and Virginia Mead and one brother Johnny Bria. She is survived by one son, James P. (Jan) Scarbrough, two grand daughters, Kristi (Clinton) Weldon and Kati (Brad) Higginbotham, two great grandsons, Jake and John Paul Higginbotham, one sister Ann Benefield, and one brother Pete Bria Jr. Several nieces, nephews and several other loving relatives. Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. Reid Crotty officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Family request donations be made to the American Heart Association.
