Margaret Spigner

Age 92, of Midfield, Alabama, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 25, 2018. She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church, Pleasant Grove, Alabama and a former member of First Baptist Church of Midfield for forty-six years. She received her bachelor's degree from Athens College. After teaching a couple of years, she became a faithful homemaker touching the lives of friends and families in her church and local community.

The funeral services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home, Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. Rick Cato officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leonard Spigner, Sr. and her parents Houston and Louisa Hill of Billingsley, Alabama.

She is survived by her three children; Kathryn Hardin (Jerry), Nancy Chesser (Carl) and Robert, Jr. (Sherri); five grandchildren, Heather Palmer (Brad), Rachel McCoy (Heath), Janell Phillips (Ashley), Julie and Robin Spigner; five great-grandchildren, Ella Palmer, Jayden Phillips, Judson Phillips, Jett McCoy and Jacob Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorials be sent to Bethel Baptist Church, P.O. Box 127, Pleasant Grove, Alabama 35127.
