Waits, Margaret Carter, of Vestavia Hills, passed away Monday, February 15, 2010. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. Waits was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Douglas Waits and her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Lusk Waits. She is survived by her son, E. Douglas Waits; granddaughters Mary Margaret Haigler (Ted) and Elise Waits (Ben Gibbon); great-grandchildren Maggie Gibbon, Georgia Gibbon, Alice Gibbon, Dylan Haigler and Maya Haigler; sisters Juanita Carter and Mildred Carter; niece Mary Lynn Hanily, and many good friends. Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 19 at Valhalla Funeral Home in Midfield with a graveside service following at 2:00 pm.
