January 21, 1934 – January 3, 2019
Marjorie Frances Bailey Lee, age 84 of Fairfield Highlands, AL passed away on January 3, 2019. She was the daughter of George Dewey and Mary Frances Bailey. For many years she served as the Secretary at St. Aloysius Catholic Church of Bessemer, and St. Anthony's Catholic Church of Ensley. Her loving and nurturing personality allowed her to never meet a strange, known as a friend to many and a mother by affection to all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking pies and making sweet tea. Cross stitching and embroidery were a few of her past time hobbies but she was most known to be a Prayer Warrior, praying for her family and friends. Everyone was her "Sweetie Pie", she will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Kathryn Sheppeard, Linda Lovelady and Margaret "Peggi" (Richard) Gilmore; three sons, James (Kelly) Lee, Michael Lee and Joseph Lee; four grandchildren, Veronica (Jake) Brenenstall, Melissa Hawsman, Stuart Lovelady and Cindy (Graham Beard) Gilmore; three siblings, Shirley Busby, Gerri Johnson and Jimmy Leithauser and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 2 pm to 4pm with a 3:30 Rosary service at St. Patrick Catholic Church. A Catholic Mass will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 7, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 301 Shamrock Trail, Adamsville, AL 35005. An additional visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Bethel Baptist Church from 10am to 12 noon in Statesboro, GA with burial in Brannen Cemetery, Statesboro, GA.
In lieu of flowers donation can be made to St.Patrick's Catholic Church, St. Aloysius or St. Bernard Catholic Monastery of Cullman, Alabama.
