Marjorie "Peggie" Chafin, age 90, of Oneonta, Al died Monday, November 17, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Chafin was a native of Jefferson County where she lived most all of her life. She resided in Oneonta for the past nine years where she attended Easley Baptist Church in Oneonta. Mrs. Chafin formerly worked at Birmingham Southern Research Institute. She will be missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Ocie Mae Henley; a sister, Lucille Taylor and two brothers, Amos W. Henley and Chester Henley; two nieces, Lide Taylor Long and Linda A. Henley.

Mrs. Chafin is survived by two nieces, Alice Taylor Sullivan and Hope Bodker; one nephew, Mike Henley; four great nieces and two great nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Valhalla Cemetery.
