Marlon Ralph Pierce, age 83, of Irondale died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at St. Vincent''s East Hospital.

Mr. Pierce was a native of Andalusia, Alabama but resided in Jefferson County most all of his life where he was retired from Southern Company Services and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his son, Kim D. Pierce and his parents, Ralph Curry Pierce and Mildred O''Nell Grissett Pierce.

Mr. Pierce is survived by three sons, Ronnie (Judy), Paul and Marlon Pierce; one daughter, Connie Lewis; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one sister, Jeanelle Keissia and a brother, Foy Pierce (Sandra).

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 1:15 P.M. at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo Alabama with military honors. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until 11:45 A.M. on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Valhalla Funeral Home.
