Mary Nell Marsh Burton, age 85, of Birmingham passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014. She was a member of Church of the Highlands and former member of Ruhama Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Hueytown High School and the University of Alabama. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, Meme, and friend always putting others before herself. She had a generous loving heart and touched many lives with her presence. She will be greatly missed by all that had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her loving devoted husband, Gene Burton; loving mother Zelma Huey Marsh and brothers Jack and Jim Marsh.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories two loving daughters, Marsha Beth Burton Clark and Julie Ann Burton Mott; two special granddaughters, Brittany Genell Clark and Taylor Burton Mott; grandson Jonathan Lee Clark; sister-in-law, Claire Marsh; nieces, Vicki Covington, Jan King and Haden Marsh and nephew David Marsh; a host of cousins and other loving family members.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. The visitation will be Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
