Mary Mozell Cunningham, age 92, of Albany, New York, formerly of Birmingham passed away February 12, 2011 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Albany, NY.
Mrs. Cunningham is survived by her chidlren, Martha White(Tom) of Loudonville, NY, Art Cunningham(Deborah) of Indiana, Billy Ray Cunningham(Debbie) of Birmingham, and Alan Cunningham(Lisa) of Birmingham; Eight grandchidlren, Edie, Debbie, Kim, Bobi, Candi, Lauren, Katie, and Steven; five great grandchidlren, Kylie, Reagan, Bradley, Miranda and Leona. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-one years, Arthur W. Cunningham; parents, Lewis Alvin and Martha Etta Hamilton; one son, Eddie Cunningham; brother and sisters, Ulman Hamilton, Odell Chamers and Odean Ganus.
Mrs. Cunningham was a native of Tuscaloosa and resided in Birmingham most of her life until 1983 when she moved to Albany, NY. She was a loving wife and stay home mom, except for the ten years when she worked for Rich's Department Store in Birmingham. She was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, H. B. Kuhn Senior Citizens Center, and a member of several Square Dance Clubs. Her hobbies included Square Dancing, Line Dancing, and Ballroom Dancing.
"She loved talking to people and just having fun. She loved life."
Services will be Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 12 noon from Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A. M. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials contributions be made to Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Albany, NY.
