Logan, Mary Frances Hughen, age 87, of Fairfield went home to be with the Lord Thursday, December 17, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin E. Logan. She is survived by her daughters Barbara Logan Gentle and Rebecca (Larry) Donaldson; granddaughter Mary Virginia Gentle and great granddaughter Anna Gentle. She is also survived by one brother Cyrus Hughen and two sisters Alice Ruth Stinson and Lillie Hughen; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mrs. Logan was a member of Wilkes Baptist Church for 30 years and Powderly Baptist Church for over 30 years. She was much loved and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff at Ashton Gables for their kind and loving care of her and also the staff of Amedisys Hospice who looked after her. Graveside services will be held at the cemetery at Providence Baptist Church in Coosa County, Alabama, Monday, December 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
