Marylyn Palmer, age 85, of Bessemer went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in Clanton, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Faustina Palmer and a sister-in-law; Jeanelle Palmer.

Ms. Palmer was a native and life long resident of Bessemer, Alabama where she was a life long member of First Baptist Church in Bessemer now Baptist Church at McAdory. She was a member of the Choir and was involved with the children's ministry of the church for 52 years. She was a retired legal secretary with 44 years of service.

She is survived by one brother; Donald Palmer; a sister, Doris Palmer; 1 niece, Melonie Palmer; 2 nephews, Chris Palmer and Robbie Palmer (Lewanne Palmer) ; a great niece, Rachel Palmer; 4 great nephews; Nathan Palmer (Erin Palmer) , Joshua Palmer, Micah Palmer, and Elijah Palmer.

Services will be held on Saturday , June 29, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Michael Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at Valhalla Funeral Home with burial at Valhalla Cemetery.
