Henderson, Mickey, age 62, died Saturday, January 4, 2014. Mr. Henderson was a native of the Birmingham area originally from Lipscomb. He was a member of the Hueytown Assembly of God. He served in the Merchant Marines during the Vietnam War and was an avid Pub Darts player. Mickey was always ready to lend a helping hand and listening ear. He touched countless lives with his giving nature and compassion.

Mickey is survived by his daughter, Gina Henderson Rogers; grandchildren, Polly, Jonas Ethan West and Stella Rogers; two step sons, Allen Morton and Kenneth Morton; three step daughters, Teresa, Alyssa and Jennifer; a half brother, Jerry Gibson and a half sister, Dixie Henderson; two sisters, Brenda Jones and Paula Graham; several step grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
