Minor, Milton M. , born May 27, 1923, went to his heavenly home on June 6, 2009. Milton was a dedicated member of Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church for 66 years where he was a deacon. One of the greatest pleasures in his life was volunteering as a nursery worker for over 20 years. He served in the Army in World War II. He retired from Pullman Standard and served as a union official. He and his wife were members of Midfield Leisure Club. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Bro. Jim McCain officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Survivors are his wife of over 64 years, Lois Mitchell Minor; daughter Kay Minor; sisters Audrey Strickland of McCalla and Mildred Arnold Ferguson (Jack) of Concord; 2 sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be some of his nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New Beacon Hospice or Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church.
