Monte Angela Hollis Strickland of Hueytown, AL passed away at home March 7th, 2015.

She is preceded in death by David L. Strickland Husband of 42 yrs and father, Robert Leon Hollis.

Survived by mother; Margaret Louise Green Hollis, son''s; Todd (Lisa), Jim (Debbie), Michael (Sheree) Strickland, sisters; Barbara Gilliand, Denise (Danny) Little, brother''s; Johnny and Robert Hollis, 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Monte was a devoted wife and mother. She graduated from Jones Valley High School in 1959. She was a musician in high school and The Alabama Symphony.

Monte was a devoted employee of Wal-Mart in Fairfield for 30 yrs until retirement. She devoted the rest of her life to her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held in Oneonta, AL. at Lemley Funeral Home on Tuesday May 12th, 2015 at 12 noon. Internment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oneonta, AL. There will a visitation held at Valhalla Funeral Home on Monday May 11th, 2015 from 5pm to 7pm.
