Haley, Montez Swann, age 82, of Montevallo went home to be with the Lord, Monday, April 13, 2021. Born on April 29, 1939, she resided in the Birmingham area most of her life where she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years,  James Pleasant Haley, Jr. and is survived by her husband Tony Serio. She was the fourth of seven sisters and is survived by Juanita Swann Smith. She is also survived by three sons, James Pleasant Haley III (Tina), Albert Ray Haley (Linda), John Clayton Haley and two daughters, Danita Kay Haley Warren (Jeff) and Mary Fay Haley Simmons (Jeff). Her legacy includes thirteen much loved grandchildren: Tara (Patrick), Katie,  Amber, Micah, RJ (Kaitlyn), Josiah, James, Clayton, Johnathan, Nathaniel, Mitchell, Katherine, and Joseph as well as 2 great-grandchildren: Winter and Rowan.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and encouraging friend. Most importantly, while a teenager, she trusted in and clung to the fact that Jesus Christ died on the cross for her personally and paid the penalty for her sins, thus ensuring her a home in Heaven.  She attended Evangel Church. Services will be held Thursday, April 15, at 11:00 AM at Evangel Church, Alabaster, Alabama, with visitation at 10:00. Internment will be at Valhalla Cemetery. Valhalla Funeral Home officiating.
