Murray Jay Hand , age 64, of Fairfield, Alabama passed away on December 24, 2025, after battling cancer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alton C. Hand and Betty Harrison Hand, as well as his brother, Curry R. Hand.

He is survived by his sisters, Barbara H Weeks (Mitch), Kay H. McDevitt (Danny), and Nancy H. Brooks (Bob) along with several nephews and nieces.

Murray's adopted family includes Claudia Uribe, Esteban, Aury, Sophia Vazquez, and Ernesto Uribe. He cherished fishing with close friends Kelley, Mike, and Chuck, proudly calling himself the Bream King.

Murray was a music enthusiast, he played both the piano and guitar and had a passion for studying the Spanish language and native Indian culture.

Murray's Graveside Service will be held at Valhalla Cemetery at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
