Myra Jean Duncan Ragan, age 87 of Midfield, Al died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at her residence.

Ms. Ragan was a native and life long resident of Jefferson County where she lived in Midfield. She was retired with nineteen years service with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama and was a member of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert Ragan.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Toxey; two sons; Robin L. Ragan and Charles Richie Ragan; two grandchildren; Barbara Jean Parker (Johnny) and Brian Neil Latham (Brandy); four great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three sisters; Betty Maxine Richardson, Gloria Miles and Barbara Pate and one brother; Charles Vance Duncan.

Services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until time of service at the funeral home.
