Nancy Sewell Hughes, age 77, of Attalla, AL died Friday, January 16, 2015 at her daughter''s residence in Attalla, AL.

Mrs. Hughes was a native of Georgia and a long time resident of Alabama. She was a retired ( PN) and she loved her flowers and working in her garden. She was a simple woman who was crazy about her pets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Willie Hughes.

Mrs. Hughes is survived by her daughter, Mary Poe; two grandchildren, Dona Allen and Cindy Squibb; several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time at New Prospect Methodist Church Cemetery. There will not be a visitation.
