Nedra W. Webster, age 94 passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 4, 2023.
Nedra Webster, the daughter of Bert & Louise Wilkinson, was a life-long resident of the Birmingham
area. She began taking piano lessons at an early age and later became an accomplished pianist. She
played at church for years; eventually, using that knowledge, she taught herself to play the pipe organ at
her church and also played handbells. She enjoyed singing in the church choir for a number of years.
Nedra was an administrative assistant for several businesses and upon retirement, she started working
at her church as the financial secretary.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling together and took a number of cruises, a tour of New England, a
trip to Europe and had many other adventures.
She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a loyal wife who spent
many years taking care of her husband who had severe diabetes and macular degeneration.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Louise Wilkinson, her husband, Thomas (T.L.) Webster
and grandson, Brandon Sapp. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Sonnier (Glenn); son, Tracy
Webster (Robin); five grandchildren - Aimee Nichols, Nathan Sapp (Catherine), Ashlee Greek (Kyle),
Jordan Shaw (Trent), Chad Webster (Victoria); seven great grandchildren – Mallee Nichols, Ben Nichols,
Sam Nichols, Thomas Sapp, Callie Sapp, Lacey Sapp, Eleanor Webster and a nephew, John Miller
(Robyn).
Visitation will be held at 9:30 am at Mountain Chapel Methodist Church, 2541 Rocky Ridge Drive,
Vestavia, AL 35243. There will be a reception for family and friends following the service in the Fireside
Room. She will be buried at the Alabama National Cemetery,
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain Chapel Methodist Church.
