Meadows Jr., Odos Melvin, age 82, of Midfield, passed away on April 24, 2008. He loved his country and served during World War II, After the war he worked for 33 years with the Postal Service His honesty and courage were recognized by all. He attended Midfield Methodist Church for many years and more recently attended Bethlehem United Methodist Church,There could be no better father, husband, or grandfather. Funeral Services will be at Valhalla Funeral Home Monday, April 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. Ivan Trussler officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2008 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mildred Meadows of Midfield, three daughters; Susan(Gary) Mansbach, Peggy (Tommy) McAlpine both of Birmingham, Ginny (Mike) Sirles of Pleasant Grove, brother; Homer (Nell) Montague of Pleasant Grove, four grandchildren; Carly and Tommy McAlpine, Amanda and John Fuller; great grandson, Odos McAlpine and Gerda, his dog.
