Oscar "Jack" Stillwagon, age 95, of Hueytown died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Stillwagon was a native of New York where he lived his early years. He moved to Alabama and was stationed at Maxwell Field in Montgomery. He was a World War II veteran where he served with the Army Air Corp. After the birth of his son, he and his wife settled in Jefferson County where he was a former member of the Martin Memorial United Methodist Church and was a present member of Earnest United Methodist Church. He retired from the City of Birmingham in 1985 where he was Chief Court Clerk. He was a member of the Civitan Club of Wylam. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby McKee Stillwagon and grandson, Michael Stillwagon.
Mr. Stillwagon is survived by his son, Quentin Oscar Stillwagon; one grandson, Charles Alexander Stillwagon; numerous nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
Services will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 12 Noon at Valhalla Chapel with Rev. Marion New officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Valhalla Funeral Home.
