Obituary

Osie Charles Williams, 72, was called from labor to reward on Wednesday August 3rd, 2022. November 21st,1949, Osie Charles Williams was born to the parentage of the late Huey and Olivia (Cannon) Williams He attended Westfield High in Dolomite, Alabama. For many years Mr. Williams worked faithfully as a lead electrician for Oak Grove Coal mines. In addition to his duties as an electrician, he was a skilled Master Carpenter.  His workmanship was sought out in Birmingham and surrounding areas. The question was raised "... is there anything that he can't build!" Of his many hobbies, he was very fond of fishing, playing dominoes with friends & family, and an occasional game of billiards. As in other areas of his life he was very skilled at everything that he did. Even getting up in age, Mr. Williams was a known pool shark. Osie  married Veronica Coleman on May 7th 1977. To this union was born two children Eric and Daniel Williams. Growing up in the Williams household, the brothers recount fond memories of playing tag with their father every morning before he went to work. The countless fishing trips, family outings, and watching Professional basketball are memories that family, friends, and loved ones will cherish. At random he would break out singing, "You Are So Beautiful" or "Reasons" being sure to sing all the high notes."Zoc Zippy Zay What do you say"," Need the money now" and "Hey Buddy" are a few of his hilarious statements. Osie Williams is survived by his brother John Williams of Chicago; his life partner Veronica Williams (Coleman), two sons, Eric and Daniel Williams; six grandchildren Kristin, Leighne, Autumn, Brendon, Ashton, and Fallon; and a host of nieces and nephews.
