Harkins, Patricia Ann , age 84, of Birmingham, AL, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009. She was active in First Baptist Church of Fairfield for 30 years and presently a member of Sharon Heights Baptist Church. She loved entertaining, gardening, sewing and most of all being with her family and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all of her family. Graveside services will be held at Valhalla Cemetery Friday, July 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 23, 2009 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Sammie W. Harkins; daughter, Rebecca H. Blackstone (Bill); sons, Sammy Joe Harkins (Martha) and David Harkins (Lisa); grandchildren, Matt Harkins, Jeff Blackstone (April), John Blackstone (Maggie Crews (fiance')), Joanna Blackstone and Abbey Harkins; great grandchildren, Ryan Blackstone, Jason Blackstone, Bekah and Campbell Crews; sisters, Mabel Brand of LaGrange, GA, Madge Daniel of LaGrange, GA, Betty Jackson of Charleston, SC, Margaret Rhoney of Columbia, SC and Sarah Branch of Birmingham, AL.
