Patricia Smith Pipolo, 85 years of age, passed away on June 28, 2022, at her home in Trussville, Alabama.

She will be remembered for her love of animals, strong spirit, resiliency, and the  immense amount of love she had to give.

Born on October 25, 1936 in Bessemer, Alabama, she attended Hueytown High School.  She subsequently moved to the Bronx, New York, where she married and enjoyed a long  career as a Matron on a New York City School bus before retiring to reside in  Trussville, Alabama with her extended family.

Pat is survived by her brother, Charles E. Smith(Jackie) (Cathy Smith) of Hueytown,  Alabama, daughter, Glenda Gilligan, of Trussville, Alabama, granddaughter, Lacey  Gilligan, also of Trussville, Alabama, nieces, Jerie Smith Click of Quinton,  Alabama, and Wilda Smith Connor of Ocean City, New Jersey, nephews, Jay Smith of  Hueytown, Alabama, and Nicholas Smith of Ocean City, New Jersey, and many cousins,  great-nephews, great-nieces and life-long friends. She is preceded in death by her  parents, Herman W. Smith Sr and Lorene Parsons Smith, brother, Herman W. Smith Jr,  and husband, Rudolph Michael Pipolo.

Visitation will be held on July 6, 2022, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Valhalla  Funeral Home in Midfield, Alabama, with services to follow at 1:00 pm in the  Valhalla Funeral Home chapel.
