Today Wayne left this life to move to her heavenly home. She is survived by her wonderful parents, Elson C. "Buddy" and Mildred Veitch, the joy of her life, beloved daughter Michelle Lagle and precious grandson Cameron Harrington. Also surviving are her loving sister Barbara V. "Bobbie" Webster and her wonderful husband Pete, her caring sister Kay Veitch and her partner Kathryn Perly as well as special friend R. Wayne Lagle. In addition there are an aunt and uncle, several nieces, a nephew and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother David Scott Veitch. God blessed Wayne with a wonderful family and so many great friends who helped and prayed for her during her illness. She wanted to express her sincere thanks and love for all of these special people. Wayne returned to college in her mid 40's and graduated from Birmingham Southern College with honors. This was helpful to her career and she spent the next 20 years working in a profession she loved. Wayne was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Friday, June 18, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery the Rev. Bill Decker will be officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, June 18, 2010 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
