Patrick K. "Rick" Gerelds, age 59, of Homewood, Alabama was born September 27, 1954 and departed this life on Monday, June 23, 2014. He was preceded in death by his brother Chris, sister Donna, infant brothers James Daniel and David and his partner of eighteen years Barbara Symms.

Rick is survived by his daughter Jennifer, parents Ken and Delilah Gerelds, several nephews and cousins.

He attended St. Anthony''s Grammar School, graduated from Berry High School in 1972 and attended Jacksonville State University.

Rick was a professional salesman selling Industrial products to many Industries in the USA and Canada. His Company was FACTORY SALES COMPANY.

Rick was known to be a very caring person, helping anyone he knew in need. He was known to have a big heart. Rick was an avid Auburn Fan.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peter''s the Apostle Catholic Church in Hoover on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
