Knight, Pearl Wages, age 88, of Hueytown, AL, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, October 22, 2008. She was a former member of West Side Baptist Church under the ministry of Rev. Cecil Nelson. She is a present member of North Highlands Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Saturday, October 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Rev. Cecil Nelson and Rev. Doug O'Brien officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 26, 2008 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Knight and Orville Wages the loving father of her children. She is survived by her son, Jerry "Bubba" Wages and his wife Kathy; her daughter, JoAnn Bunn and her husband Jackie; her grandchildren, Jay Bunn, Jeff Bunn, Jill Bunn Stano and Janice Wages Eddings; her great grandchildren, Joey Bunn, Jordan Fitts, Jade Bunn, Jacob Carlin, Krystal Mazzarella, Nicole Deadwyler Shirley and Shane Deadwyler; great great grandchild, Marissa Shirley; her sister, Doris Willis. The family would like to express a special loving thanks to the staff and friends at Self Nursing Home.
