Philip Nolan Reeder, age 83, of Adamsville died Monday, September 9, 2013 at St. Vincent''s Hospital in Birmingham, AL.

Mr. Reeder was a native and life long resident of Jefferson County, retired from the VA Hospital, served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Woodland West Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Reeder and son, David Reeder.

He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Reeder; grandchildren, Brandy Duncan (Jason), Crystal Maharrey (Drew), Christy McDuffey and Charity McDuffey; two great grandchildren, Natalie Duncan and Amber Duncan; one sister, Frances Edmonds Dansby (Carl).

Services will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Valhalla Chapel with Brother Bill Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 12 noon to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
