Rachel Yarbrough Boley went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 23, 2020.
Rachel was born to Jimmy and Blanche Yarbrough on April 9, 1955, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was raised in Midfield, Alabama and graduated from The Misses Howard's School for Girls in 1972. After graduation she joined the United States Air Force and proudly served her country.
Rachel met her husband, Skip, at Jefferson State Junior College. They married on October 30, 1980 and were blessed with two daughters, Angela and Melody.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Rachel went on to teach at Brooklane Baptist Academy in Hueytown, Alabama. She loved teaching, playing the piano, and her students. Throughout her entire life she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, James Lawrence Yarbrough and Blanche Dye Yarbrough. She is survived by her husband, Virgil "Skip" Boley; daughters Angela McKinlay (Doug), Melody Schmutz (Aaron); grandchildren Dianna, Jimmy, Meadow, and Breeze.
A viewing will be held on May 5, 2020 at Valhalla Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home. A private graveside will be held at an unannounced time, T. Shane Nabors officiating.
