Monroe, Rachel Lucille "Snookie" Higgins , age 90, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry C. Monroe. She is survived by her sister, Cora H. Dinken; her children, Perry C. Monroe, Jr., James A. Monroe (Berkeley), Barbara Ann M. Smith (Gary) and C. David Monroe (Ruth Ann). She is survived by eight grandchildren, Todd Monroe (Sheryl), Gena Monroe, Drew Smith, Jimbo Monroe, Rebecca M. Ulmer (Denny), Matthew Monroe, Julie Monroe, Amy Monroe and five great grandchildren, Taylor Monroe, Casey Monroe, Randy Ulmer, Luke Ulmer and Susie Ulmer. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Zane Smith officiating. Visitation wil be Saturday, February 14, 2009 from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m.
