Obituary

Reba Robinson Fitzpatrick died September 16 at home.  She was born in Jasper, Alabama, on December 9, 1928 to the late John A. Robinson and the late Golden G. Robinson. She attended Walker County Schools and Birmingham Southern College where she studied music.  She worked as a legal secretary and an office manager in Birmingham.  She was a member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Vestavia Hills since its beginning. She loved music and had a beautiful soprano voice.

She was married to Thomas O. Williams from 1954 until his death in 1996 and later was married to James Fitzpatrick until his death in 2009.

She was preceded in death by her brothers John Robinson, William Robinson, and Ronald Robinson. She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Williams, Susan Steele (Mike), and Alison Peters (Tim), step daughter Nancy Wyatt (Tim), grandson Adam Steele, step grandson Matthew Steele (Laura), step great-granddaughter Jackie, and nieces and nephews she loved very much.

She loved Christ, children, and animals and passed those gifts on to her children.  She will be missed very much.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 22nd at Valhalla Funeral Home, 5317 Bessemer Super Highway, Birmingham, Alabama, 35228.  The funeral will be at 11:00 am with a visitation starting at 10:00 am.  Burial will be at Valhalla Cemetery.
