Regina Esther Powell, 92 of Hueytown, went to meet her Savior on Thursday June 9, 2022 in her home with her family as she napped in her beloved Sidney's chair.

Mrs. Powell was born in Canton, GA on the fourth of July, 1929 to Oddie and Goldie Fowler. She married Sidney Olen Powell in Bessemer, AL on September 21, 1946. She became a mother to her daughter Bobbie June Powell on February 26, 1948. She was a devoted wife and mother that loved taking care of her family. She was an active member of Concord Baptist Church for 58 years. Her passion was loving her family, her church, and her community.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her spouse of 66 years, her sisters Sue Pitts and Patsy Jenkins, and her brother Julian Fowler. Mrs. Powell is survived by her daughter Bobbie June Walden (Dan); grandchildren Kathy Flowers (Owen) and Jerry Walden (Jill); great-grandchildren Jade Bunn (Kacy), Luke Nelson, Jailyn Perry (Kenny), Jaina Walden (Jarrod), and Jordan Walden; great-great-grandchildren Dan Bunn, Kate Bunn, Jace Wright, Jeremiah Wright, Charleigh Finley, Nolan Perry, and Kamryn Finley; sisters Jeanette Patterson and Francis Bullock; brothers Roger Fowler (Annell) and Paul Fowler (Donna); and a multitude of nieces and nephews she dearly loved.
