Rhonda Gay Ousley Scales, age 53, of Crane Hill, Alabama passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at her residence.

Rhonda was a native of Jefferson County where she was a former resident of Bessemer and Forestdale and resided in Cullman County the past 23 years. She was a 1981 graduate of Minor High School where she was a member of the Minor High School Band and was a member of Hillview Baptist of Forestdale. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. "Bob" Ousley; a brother, Keith Ousley; a sister, Robin Leigh Ousley; maternal grandparents, Ernest Leroy Carter and Elizabeth Ann Carter; paternal grandparents, Norwood Otto Ousley and Nancy Agnes Ousley.

Rhonda is survived by her husband, Larry J. Scales; two sons, Robert Earl Bircheat and Kenneth Ira Bircheat (Jennifer Lee); one granddaughter, Hannah Brooke Bircheat and a grandson, Clayton Ira Bircheat; her mother, Barbara Fay Ousley; a brother, Robert Alan Ousley (Stephanie Carmell); and a niece, Alisha Shawn Harper (Jonathan).

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Brunner officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Valhalla Chapel.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to a favorite charity.
