Rhonwyn Jean Burton ("Jeannie), 75, of Bessemer, Alabama passed away at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

She was born in 1947 in Bessemer, Alabama, and attened Bessemer Highschool and retired after over 20 years of service from Walmart. She was a loving wife for 58 years to Charles Albert. She was a wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother, and she was loved by all. Jean enjoyed attending serive at Crossway Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her sister at the beach and in the mountains. She adored each of her grandchildren and great- grand boys. Over the years she had many beloved pets, including her favorite dog "Charlie Brown".

She is survived by Charles A. Burton, Sr., ;sister Delores Holsombeck (James "Sonny"); brother Rodger Carter; son Charles A. Burton, Jr. (Sandy); daughter, Tanya Burton; Grandchildren: Mallorie Burton, Monica Rascoe, Marie Murphree (TD), Kensley Burton, Haley Burton, Morgan Rascoe, Cassidy Burton; Great Grandchildren: Mason Rascoe and Ryker Murphree; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Thomas "Tommy" Carter and Margret "Margie" Carter, and Thomas "Sonny" Carter (Liz).

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:00 am. Chapel service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home in Midfield, Alabama.
